Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on some upgrades for my Pajero IO and wanted to get your thoughts and experiences. One of the main things I’m looking at is privacy window film for heat reduction, UV protection and giving the car a sleek look.

I came across this site; they seem to have solid options and good reviews. Has anyone used them or something similar? I’d love to know:

  • What brand or shade of film did you pick?

  • Did you feel a difference in heat or glare?

  • Any problems with the install (bubbles, peeling)?

  • Did you install it yourself or have a pro do it?

Beyond that, I’m open to other simple and budget-friendly mod ideas interior accessories, performance tweaks, or styling upgrades.

Any suggestions or firsthand experiences are really appreciated!

I'm not in Australia, so I can't comment on that site or the tint that they supply, but I can still share my experiences with you - I first tinted a vehicle perhaps forty years ago, did it myself because there were no tint shops in my corner of the world, and had no issues with it.  I've tried to do one more since then and made an absolute mess of it, and since then I farm it out to a shop, the first car I did had glass that curved in one plane only, most cars now have the glass curved in two planes and that requires the film to be "moulded" using heat.

First - if you've never done a tint film install, have a shop do it, it's not difficult, but there are tricks & tools that the professionals have, that if you don't, you'll find the task quite frustrating and you'll waste the film before you master it.  Professionally done there should be no issues with bubbles or peeling, do it yourself and well, the results will be heavily dependent on your skill & ability.

There's a very noticeable decrease in temperature, especially if the car is parked in the sun, but, you don't want to go too dark on the tint, as it could become quite difficult to back up at night.
