Pajero IO/Pinin rear axle swap

Hi all. My name is Vlad and I'm from Zambia and I have a problem with my rear axle that I need some clarification with. 

My Pajero IO is an AWD 5 door and the original axle is bent. From what I read the AWD IO originates from Europe but most of the IOs in the scrap yards here look like they are the 4wd versions and 2wd. 

The only axles I found here in Zambia for the IO is for the 4wd models. The 4wd axle and differential are bigger than the AWD and the flange on the prop shaft are different. Suspension looks exactly the same its just the rear diff seems different. 

My question is can I use the axle from the 4wd on the awd? My worry is the gear ratios and if there's anything else you can tell me I appreciate it. 

I'm really stuck here so someone's help on this will be awesome.
